One of Grand Haven’s newest residents continue a long tradition of buyers who have purchased in the master planned community to be near family and friends.
Angelo and Slavko Vulkovic recently bought a home in the Lake Haven village. Their daughter, Branka Damiani, also lives in Grand Haven. She is a broker associate with the Luxury Team of Florida Real Estate Group and represented her parents in the purchase.
“My family and I are so pleased to have my parents not only moving to Florida but actually living in the same neighborhood,” says Damiani. “They looked at other communities but really just loved this house, the lifestyle at Grand Haven and the opportunity to be so near to us.”
The Vulkovics are also excited about trading New York winters for Florida sunshine.
“We decided to leave the northeast winters behind and join our daughter as residents of Grand Haven,” says Angela. “After looking at homes in other subdivisions in the area, we felt the beauty and lifestyle Grand Haven offered was the best choice.”
Damiani said her parents still need to sell their New Jersey home but decided to relocate full time to Grand Haven with the housing market up north beginning to return to normal. According to Grand Haven Realty Broker Sterling Colee more buyers appear to be like minded.
“It’s exciting to see buyers becoming more comfortable with making purchase decisions rather than putting them off and delaying their plans to relocate to Florida,” says Colee. “The best deals on Florida real estate in generations are available right now and those that buy will likely see they made the right decision in the coming years.”
The sale also put Damiani over the top to win a special prize as part of a Realtor sales contest launched earlier this year by Grand Haven Realty. She was presented with a wine collection valued at $500 by long-time Grand Haven sales executive Diane Thornton on the front porch of her parents’ new home.
“In addition to having her parents as her new neighbors she will be able to toast their housewarming with a selection from the wine box collection,” says Thornton. “I know they will be as happy as I am to have my daughter and her family as my neighbors here in Grand Haven.”
